What to Pack for the Night Before the Wedding
Not sure what you need for your hotel or AirBnB stay for the night before the wedding besides your standard toiletries? Here are some suggestions on what to pack to ensure you have everything you need on Wedding Morning and Wedding Day.
1. Wedding Day Attire
This seems like an obvious one, but you won’t believe how many stories we’ve heard of forgotten dresses. Pack your Wedding Dress, Wedding Shoes, Veil and Garter if you have them. Grooms - pack your Suits or Tuxedo, socks and dress shoes. You can pretend that the wedding is tomorrow and you’re laying out what you need to wear to help you remember what to pack.
2. Accessories
Our favorite part (mine anyways!) of packing for Wedding Day. Ladies, bring the jewelry you plan to wear like your earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and more. For the guys, if you’ve got a special watch you want to wear or custom made cuff-links - bring those! Accessories make the outfit just as much as the outfit does. These will also make for good photo opportunities, so be sure to put these aside for them to snap before you wear them.
3. The Rings! Yes, those rings!
Couples have notoriously forgotten these as well - yes, it’s true! Pack the wedding rings in a safe place where you will remember them when you are unpacking at your hotel or AirBnB. Bring them in the box they came in, or if you purchased a pretty box like the ones that The Mrs Box carries - be sure to bring that box too! Again, your photo and video team will want to shoot these, so be sure to set them aside on Wedding morning for them to shoot.
4. Wedding Stationery
This is a great opportunity to have your wedding stationery photographed as a part of your Wedding Day Album. Pack an extra set with any accessories you have available such as ribbons, florals, etc. Accessories with different textures add just another layer and dimension to your stationery.
5. Marriage License
Probably THE most important thing you will need to pack for Wedding Day. Because what good is having the wedding if it’s not on paper. If you’ve hired an officiant like the amazing Great Officiants, then this is one less thing you’ll need to worry about because they take care of everything for you. But if not, you’ll need to bring this with you because you’ll need to sign this before or after the ceremony, the officiant will also need to sign it, and you may also need witnesses to sign it depending on which type of license you obtain.
